General Questions

Who can rent with Ride Rental Cars?

We only have 3 rental requirements:

  • Be 21+
  • Have a valid driving license
  • Have at least liability insurance.

It goes without saying that you will need to pay for the rental before you pick up your car.

Do you have daily rentals?

Yes, we have daily rentals, and they are 24 hrs long.

What are the payment methods?

We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and cash.

Do you accept walk-ins?

Yes, you can come by our office and rent the car without reserving it online. You can also call any of our offices and we’ll be thrilled to help you over the phone.

How can I be sure that the car that I booked will wait for me?

We have a strict no-overbooking policy. In a moment when you book the car and make your deposit, it is yours and no one else can book it.

Forbidden Things

What is forbidden in the car

  • Smoking and vaping in the car
    we have a strict no-smoking policy. 
  • Pets
    They are adorable, but unfortunately, not everyone loves animals.  
  • Trips to Mexico
    There are so many other cool places to visit than Mexico. Here is our daycation guide where we listed all the good places to go instead of Mexico.  
  • Drinking and driving
    Is always a bad idea. Stay safe!
  • Texting and driving
    Sometimes traffic can get chaotic at the moment when you are reading your text message.  Be smart, and text when you are not driving!

Are cars allowed off-road?

No, it is forbidden to drive off road or where there is no paved road.

Liability Insurance

How do I get my liability insurance accepted?

It is easy:

  • You have to purchase an additional Collision Damage Waiver
  • You have to pay an additional deposit of $100.00

Are there limitations if I rent a car with liability insurance?

We don’t rent Premium or above or passenger vans with liability insurance only.

Fuel, Miles & Toll

What is your fuel policy?

We have 3 options:

  • Prepay Fuel option
    You pay for the fuel in advance, and when it is time to return the car, you don’t have to think about stopping at a gas station.
  • We Refill option
    When you return the car that doesn’t have a full tank, we will charge you for the missing fuel. The price for a gallon will be the price at the pump + $5.00 per gallon.
  • You Refill
    You can refill the fuel at the gas station. It is important to return the rental with the same amount of fuel that you left with. With this option, you are avoiding the extra fuel charges.

Do you have a prepaid toll?

We have a prepaid toll option. When booking a car, just select this option and enjoy a carefree holiday.
With this option, you are avoiding $15.00 per toll fee + administration charges and fees.

What is your miles policy?

All of our rentals include unlimited miles unless otherwise stated.

Deposit & Fees

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Our deposits are as low as $150.00
In the case that you are paying with cash or a prepaid debit/credit card, you will have to pay an additional deposit of $100.00.
Additionally, If you need to use our Collision Damage Waiver there will be another $100.00.

Do I need to pay a fee if I am younger than 25?

$20.00 per day is a fee for drivers between 21 and 24 years old.

Do you have a fee for additional drivers?

We have $10.00 per day for additional drivers.
However, if a married couple rents a car, they do not have to pay this fee.
The additional driver also needs to meet the requirements for rent (be at least 21+, have a valid driver’s license, and have at least liability insurance).

Are there any hidden fees?

No! We believe that honesty is important when doing business, and transparency is a sign of respect. When you are booking the car, we will clearly explain and quote all of our rates. If you have any questions related to rates or fees, we will be happy to explain them to you.

Additional Options & Services

Do you have a pick-up and drop-off service?

Yes, we have a pick-up and drop-off service. Let us know if you need it while you are booking the car. We do charge a small fee for this service depending on where you need us to pick you up.

What is Collision Damage Waiver?

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is a smart thing to choose when renting a car. A lot of unexpected things can happen, and they may cause damage to the vehicle. With Collision Damage Waiver, you get a waiver of financial responsibility for damage to the car provided all terms and conditions of the rental contract and CDW are kept

What is WWT?

WWT stands for Windshield, Wheel, and Tire Damage Waiver. With this, you are waived financial responsibility if a windshield breaks, if tire blowouts, or if a wheel breaks.

What is IDW?

IDW stands for Insurance Deductible Waiver. Did you know that if you are in an accident, you’re responsible to pay your deductible to Ride Rental Cars immediately, no matter if you cause the accident or not? In the case of a covered accident, with our IDW, you don’t have to pay us a deductible.

What is LOUDV?

LOUDV strands for Loss of Use and Decreased Value Waiver.
If you end up in an accident, and you are responsible to pay repairs, you also have to pay the daily rent for the car while it is being repaired and the decreased resale value of the vehicle as a result of the accident. To avoid these situations, we created LOUDV.

What is Ride-A-Long protection?

This is a package of waivers that we created for you. Unfortunately, traffic and driving are unpredictable, and damage can happen to anyone. Because of our community, we created Ride-A-Long protection. This waiver covers everything – from blown tires, and broken windshields, to the deductibles from your insurance, and the Loss of Use and Decreased Value. With our Ride-A-Long protection stay protected from unpredictable/unplanned costs.

Accidents & Car Problems

What should I do if I end up in an accident or a car breakdown?

In the case of an accident you should (1) Make sure everyone is ok, (2) Dial 911 and report the accident. (3) Exchange insurance information with any other involved parties (4) Report the accident to the Ride office you picked up the rental from, and (5) Report the accident to your insurance company.

In the case of a breakdown: Each vehicle comes with roadside assistance. Brief instructions are in the glove box of every vehicle. You should also call us immediately, and we will do our best to help you.
